Yes I did not go to Tahrir square, I did not get thrown at by rocks from thugs, I did not get shot at with bullets, I did not loose my eye sight or had a permanent or disabling injury after participating in a protest. I did, however, spend 16 months watching closely the news, tweeting, reading, analyzing, praying and spending endless nights dreaming about how the Egyptian revolution that I was so proud of was going to rid Egypt of 60 gloomy years. Sadly, that dream ends tomorrow. A new Egyptian president will be elected with no constitutional powers who will supposedly rule a country without a constitution, ruled by the military and with a dissolved parliament. And to make things worse, both men contesting this presidential election provide no hope for a better Egypt. Unfortunately, the situation will be moving from bad to worse.
